Newspaper obituary:

"Private John William Hollanby, Manchester Regiment, whose home is at 490 Roundthorn Road, Oldham, was killed on July 10th. He was 32 years of age, married with two children. As a reservist he was called up at the outbreak of war and went through the campaign from Mons to the Marne. He only had one short furlough.

When in Oldham he was a coal carter."
