Newspaper obituary

"Private Joseph Henthorne (19364), East Lancashire Regiment, died of wounds at a place not stated on July 3rd. His home is at 158 Henshaw Street, Oldham, and he was 29 years of age. Before he enlisted in August, 1914, he worked in the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway goods yard at Royton, and he was wounded in September.
His brother, Private Edwin Henthorne, Oldham Comrades, died of wounds on April 27th last."


He is buried in Beauval Communal Cemetery
