" Private James Whitehead, of the West Yorkshire Regiment, was killed in action on July 1st. He enlisted soon after the outbreak of war, was 22 years of age, and a single man. He previously worked at Messrs Platt Brothers' Works as a spindle and flyer maker. His parents reside at 9 Library Lane, Northmoor."
