"Lance-Corporal Fred Wright (938), of the West Riding regiment (Territorials) was killed in action on the 14th instant. Wright was in the Territorials before the war, and had been out to France twice. He was 22 years of age, single, and worked at New Royd Mill, Waterhead. His parents reside at 15 Bardsley Street, Waterhead."
