"Private Albert Wright (18391, Lancashire Fusiliers, was killed in action on July 1st 1916. He was 24 years of age and was attached to the signalling section of his battalion. He enlisted in March 1915 prior to which he worked in the ring room at the Orme Ring Mill. He was married, his wife and one child residing at 13 Trevor Street, Glodwick."
