Newspaper obituary:

"Official intimation has been received of the death in action in France on July 6th of Private Harry Greenhalgh, Manchester Regiment. He was 24 years of age and enlisted about three years ago in the 2nd Manchester Regiment.

Since the outbreak of war he had been transferred to another battalion of the Manchester Regiment. Before he enlisted Private Greenhalgh worked as a moulder for Messrs Platt Bros & Co. He was married with one child, and his home address was at 7 Back Perth Street, Lee Street, Oldham."
