THE PEACE CRUSADE IN OLDHAM - NEWSPAPER LETTERS
OLDHAM CHRONICLE
9th August 1917 (Thursday)
THE PEACE MEETING
Sir, I noticed with surprise the letter from E.Q. Had he fought for England's freedom for three years as some of our brave men have already he would not have much sympathy with pacifists and agitators. As for the New Zealanders forgetting they are Oldham's guests in my humble opinion it is an honour to our town to entertain men who have gained such honour and distinction in fighting for freedom and honour of dear old England.
Yours sincerely,
FAIR PLAY
