In the court over which Mr Holkin presided on Wednesday, the following cases were dealt with:

…. May 1st was the final date awarded Jno Whiteman, a farmer of Chadderton. Another brother who had been sent to the army had been rejected.

[Immediately follows report of Buckley H Barlow who was also given final date of May 1st to find work of national importance.
