CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTION IN WW1

Willie Tonge

1911 census:
Willie Tonge, age 23, was a pavior, working for Chadderton UDC, and born in Chadderton.
He was married to Mabeth Annie age 22, a milliner, and had an infant daughter, Marjory.
The family were living with Willie's in-laws, the Dysons, James and Sarah Ann,
at Goddard Street, Stanley Road Council School, Hollinwood, Chadderton.
James Dyson was employed as the caretaker for the school.
