Herbert Willott Taylor
No tribunal or other reports about this man found in the Oldham newspapers but there is a report in the 14 June 1918 edition of The Friend, a weekly Quaker magazine.
West Riding Appeal Tribunal 31 May 1918
Herbert W Taylor (Oldham P M) whose exemption on occupational grounds had been cancelled by the Withdrawal of Exemptions Order, appeared before the West Riding Appeal Tribunal on 31st May. Exemption was granted conditional on joining the F A U [Friends' Ambulance Service] and leave to appeal to the Central Tribunal was refused.
He has an entry on the Pearce List.

He attended Ackworth School, near Pontefract - a Quaker boarding school.
He appealed at the Stalybridge Tribunal on 26 March 1917 and was granted conditional exemption from combatant service. He appealed at the Manchester Appeal Tribunal on 31 May 1918 where the decision was confirmed on condition he joined the Friends' Ambulance Service. He continued in his own trade (classed as work of national importance) until March 1918, then served in the Friends' Ambulance Service from June to December 1918.
