The WO 363 records for Ross Manchester survive (held at The National Archives, available online via Find My Past):

He was 5 ft 6½ ins tall and weighed 9 sts 4 lbs.
He married Florence Wood at Dobcross Parish Church on 3 August 1914, they had a daughter Dorothy born 9 February 1915.
He enlisted at Halifax into the 6th Northern Company of the Non-Combatant Corps, regimental number 3022 and was stated to be willing to join the ASC [Army Service Corps]

He has an entry on the Pearce List.

With wife Florence and daughter Dorothy
Occ: Branch manager - Grocery
