John Green
Chadderton Tribunal 13 March 1916
Reported Oldham Chronicle 14 March 1916
At the sitting of the Chadderton Tribunal the cases of several conscientious objectors were heard. Councillor Carter presided.
… John Green, 24 Under-lane, Hollinwood, a joiner minder, was sent to the non-combatant corps. He claimed exemption from combatant service on religious grounds.
[This is all the report says about John Green, he is the last mentioned in a lengthy piece reporting a total of ten men who claimed conscientious objection. The Oldham Standard ends its report of the same tribunal with the same two sentences.]
